The PVYA Boys Lacrosse program begins "spring" practices in late February or early March, depending on gym space and outside field conditions. Players participating in the 3rd/4th to 7th/8th programs will practice weekly, and participate in games with regional teams in the Lehigh Valley Lacrosse League. Boys in the K/2 program will practice weekly and will have occasional play days with age appropriate teams from other local programs.
All K/2 and 3/4 participants, as well as first year players on other levels, will be provided with a helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves, through PVYA. Parents must bring a post-dated check (June 1st, 2022), in the amount of $200.00, and payable to PVYA, to the equipment handouts (mandatory parent/guardian meeting). This check will then be returned to you after the equipment is handed in with no damage. For those players providing their own equipment, a post-dated check (June 1st, 2022) in the amount of $100.00, payable to PVYA, will be required when uniforms are handed out. Again, this check will be returned once the uniform is returned undamaged. Parents will be responsible for providing a mouth guard, lacrosse stick and athletic cup.
In order for our organization to be successful, we need volunteers. There will be a work-bond requirement to be fulfilled. Each family will be required to write out a post-dated check (June 1st, 2022) in the amount of $150.00. We will collect this at the mandatory parent/guardian meeting prior to the season. This check will not be cashed unless the family does not fulfill the assigned volunteer shifts. The total number of shifts should be between 4-6. Unfortunately, the actual requirement cannot be determined until we see the total number of families for this year.
For 2022, there will be a mandatory fundraiser per family. Each family will be given 10 raffle tickets at $5.00 each. You can sell your tickets to family and friends to lower your out-of-pocket cost, or keep them for yourselves. The drawing for these prizes will be at the end of the season. This $50.00 requirement will be collected during online registration.
